Flora Orcadensis

Joint photographic exhibition of Ingrid Budge and Rebecca Marr.

The basis of their works was inspired by Magnus Spence's book Flora Orcadensis

A varied series of photographic techniques were used in the works exhibited.

I found the most interesting results were from the Lumen prints. Very little control of the final results in comparison to photograms. Very organic, connecting beautifully with the subject matter.

Truly a must-see exhibition!

This painting was very reminiscent for me- thought of my Grandad and his old tractors he had.

Surface Tension exhibition at Custom House

The exhibition was made up of images, mostly around Orkney - perhaps all were but there was no clear indication of the location - mounted onto foamboard.

Colour and movement was a running theme across the exhibition.

The underwater wave images were beautiful. A view not often seen, the single moment captured from a quick and continuous movement of the waves. Very interesting forms
